  1. How long do I have to complete my PI project?

    Review your selected project’s description to determine the length. The average PI project takes 3-6 months to complete.

  2. What data should I use?

    Review the project’s description to determine what data you should use. If you do not receive the data, contact your chief.

  3. Do I need to fill in the form myself?

    Yes. This tool requires your own reflections on your actions to improve the quality of your care.

  4. I'm done with my project. What do I submit?

    On the “My Projects” page, click the “Start” button to the right of your project’s name. Fill in the information on that form and click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.

  5. Can I complete the same project multiple times?

    Yes. You can complete the same project as long as it's not in your same MOC cycle.

  6. How will the completion of my PI project be communicated to my board?

    Once your attestation has been received and approved, KP staff will notify your specialty board that you have fulfilled the Part IV requirement. Please allow 10 weeks for your form to be submitted to your board. After 10 weeks, check your board website to confirm the credits have been added to your record.

  7. What about MOC parts I, II and III?

    Visit your specialty website for information on how to complete parts I, II and III.

  8. How do I pay for this project?

    Once your attestation has been received by your specialty board, you may contact your board to pay their Part IV MOC fee.

  9. How many points is my project worth?

    Each board has designated a value for their part 4 projects according to the list below:

  10. What if I'm boarded in more than one of the participating boards?

    If you complete a project that lists all the boards in which you are certified, you only need to do one project to qualify for those boards.

  11. How do I receive CME credit?

    Once your attestation has been received and approved, you can access your CME certificate by clicking on the My Projects tab, scrolling down to the bottom of the page to the Completed Projects section, and clicking on the CME Certificate button to the right of your completed project.
